The Tracewell S32 for PXI/CPCI is a rugged rack mount or bench top system designed primarily for commercial or industrial PXI applications requiring a large number of instruments in a single chassis.

The 18-slot 3U PXI backplane is hot-swap compatible and supports standard 64-bit PXI and CPCI boards. Cross-compatibility of PXI with CompactPCI means that the backplane will also support non-instrumentation devices such as network interface modules. The 6U form-factor provides extra board space for circuitry and additional I/O. The system slot includes three additional expansion slots to support up to a 4-slot controller. A 600-watt power supply provides ample power for even the most demanding applications. The 18-slot backplane is hot-swap compatible and provides user control of system clock source. To PXI-to-PXI bridges ensure seamless integration between bus segments, allowing directional configuration of PXI trigger signals by the user. Standard monitoring is provided for voltage and fan speed, while multi-point temperature controlled fans ensure adequate cooling without unwanted noise. The unit is provided fully assembled with power, cooling, monitoring and control.
